Ronopoly Servers, Rent & Building Rules

Turn monopolies into bankruptcy engines with legal, even server placement.

Building Servers in Ronopoly

In Ronopoly [Gold], servers replace Monopoly houses and hotels. Stacking servers on deeds inside a completed color group multiplies landing fees — the primary engine behind bankruptcy wins and the cash flow needed to chase three monopolies. Building looks simple until even-build rules, mortgage timing, and half-refund sellbacks collide. This guide explains every rule and the build order top players use after the Gold and Risk Update patches.

Requirements before you can build

You may place a server only when:

  1. You own every property in a color group (a monopoly on that color).
  2. No deed in that group is mortgaged. Unmortgage first.
  3. You respect even building — server counts must differ by at most one across siblings in the group.

Example: with three orange tiles, legal counts are 2-2-1 or 3-2-2, not 3-0-0.

Violating even-build blocks the purchase button. Sell or add servers on other siblings until balanced.

Server levels and rent spikes

Each server tier increases rent nonlinearly. Exact Bux numbers shift with updates — always read the in-game rent table before maxing a group. General principles:

  • First server on each tile pays back fastest because visitors land on unbuilt siblings too.
  • Third server on each tile is the bankruptcy threshold in many lobbies — rivals with under 300 Bux die on one landing.
  • Fourth server / hotel equivalent is luxury finish — only build when you have float and rivals lack monopolies.

Compare groups using our Board Map traffic notes: colors after Jail and before Go see more visits per lap.

Optimal build order inside a monopoly

  1. Place one server on every sibling before doubling up (keeps even-build legal while spreading risk).
  2. Raise all siblings to two servers before any hits three.
  3. Push to three on the highest base-rent tile first if rules allow tie breaks — usually the last tile in the color set.

Never dump all servers on one famous Roblox brand tile while siblings stay bare — visitors equally land on siblings with lower fees, wasting potential.

Selling servers back

Selling returns 50% of the build cost in Bux. Sell when:

  • You must pay a fee this turn and bankruptcy looms.
  • You need auction ammo for a completing deed trade (Trading Strategy).
  • A patch nerfed rent on your color (check Updates first).

Selling also must respect even-build in reverse — you cannot drop one tile to zero while siblings keep three.

Mortgaging vs building

Mortgaging a deed gives instant cash but turns off rent on that tile. Never mortgage inside a monopoly you are actively building unless you are emergency-funding a game-winning auction.

Common sequence:

  1. Complete monopoly.
  2. Build to 2-2-2 servers.
  3. Pass Go twice to refill.
  4. Push to 3-3-3 or hotel tier.

If cash dips mid-build, mortgage outside the monopoly first.

Interaction with win conditions

  • Three monopolies: build each group to at least 2-2-2 before starting the third monopoly — partial builds on three colors beat maxing one.
  • All Tycoons: Tycoon corners accept servers too; prioritize corners only if you already committed to the Tycoon win route.
  • Full side: build every deed on your side evenly — orphan low builds on one tile weaken side control.

Common building mistakes

MistakeFix
Building before completing colorWait for last deed; rent doubles only with full set anyway.
Ignoring even-buildSpread servers one-at-a-time across siblings.
Maxing one group while bankruptableKeep 200+ Bux buffer after building.
Selling buildings for cosmetic tradesNever sell servers for board piece skins mid-match.

After patches

Gold and Risk updates have adjusted server costs and rent multipliers. Re-read deed tooltips after each patch note on Updates hub — static wiki numbers may lag until verified.
